I am not the most organised person in the world

But hopefully writing this blog will help with that.

I really enjoy baking, cooking not so much, but it must be done. I spend a lot of time browsing through blogs and other recipe sites, a favourite being Taste.com.au. I find all sorts of yummy baking and dinner recipes, think to myself “I’ll make that one day” (not always true, but the intention is there) so I print out a copy of the recipe. Then “file it” on my kitchen table, spare bed or sometimes on the floor. I should just point out here I am extremely organised at work, I have files for everything, I use my outlook calendar to record everything and I’m generally up to date and aware of what needs to be done each day. At home however, it is a very different story. I fail at being an adult, you can read about my thoughts on that here

This is one of the piles of recipes I have….

I don’t think anyone would ever call that organised!!

So getting back to my original thought of writing a blog will help. I hope to make and bake a lot of my paper print out recipes in the coming weeks and months and when I do I will put the recipe on here. So that way I can throw out the dozens and dozens of recipes I have printed from the internet. My blog will  be a nice little filing system!

I’m looking forward to trying lots of new recipes out and hopefully improve my food photography as I go.

Yay for organisation.

  1. I have boxes and boxes and files of recipes I’ve saved to try. I started to scan them but didn’t get very far. One of the reasons I started my blog was because I couldn’t find a recipe again…it was lost in with all the others. Now I can just find them on my blog. 🙂
